Welcome to the Appalachian Area on Aging website! The AAAOA contracts with county aging programs to provide nutrition programs, transportation, and other social services. Our agency also provides technical assistance and support to county service providers and reviews administration of funds. Additional responsibilities include advocating on behalf of older persons, identifying the needs of the elderly and working to create avenues to enable the elderly to maintain their independence and dignity.
